Final call for applications to 2025 Elite MotorSport Academy of New Zealand
Time is running out for young Kiwi competitors to apply for the 2025 Elite MotorSport Academy of New Zealand, with just two weeks remaining before applications close.
The prestigious academy has helped shape the careers of some of New Zealand’s most successful motorsport athletes, including Shane van Gisbergen, Richie Stanaway, Brendon Hartley, Mitch Evans, Nick Cassidy, Earl Bamber, Hayden Paddon, and Andre Heimgartner. They are among the more than 160 graduates who have benefited from the academy’s world-class training and support.
The academy is open to competitors across all disciplines; Race, Rally, ClubSport, and KartSport, who hold a competition licence with MotorSport New Zealand or its affiliated governing bodies.
Successful applicants will take part in an intensive, week-long training camp in Dunedin, delivered by the Otago Academy of Sport, focusing on fitness, nutrition, media, sponsorship, and mental performance. Following the camp, participants receive a tailored 12-month development program, ensuring continued growth and support in their motorsport journey.
MotorSport New Zealand President and Scholarship Trust trustee, Deborah Day, urges young competitors to seize this opportunity before the deadline passes.
“The Elite MotorSport Academy is a world-class development program that has propelled many of New Zealand’s top drivers to international success. If you’re serious about advancing your career in motorsport, this is an opportunity you don’t want to miss,” said Day.
The 2025 academy camp will take place in Dunedin from 6-12 July 2025. Applications close on 10 March 2025.
